It’s the first time during the existence of this rating when the top-10 market players had some decrease in the subscriber base. The main reason the operators consider the seasonal fall in demand. However, the total subscriber base of the top-10 showed higher growth than in the previous quarter, confirming the predictions of E&C on consolidation. In addition to organic growth in the small towns, the consolidation was origined by M&A activities of the main players such as Volia, Freenet, Datagroup, rumors of merger of Ukrtelecom and Vega (owned by SCM). Main trends of the period: comprehensive services and the introduction of additional services, the growth of the importance of retaining customers.
